Employment Internship Program
An eight-week training program that teaches the basics of acquiring and retaining long-term employment. The classes focus on character development, job readiness and financial literacy.
Recovery Support Group
The Dream Center partners with the City of Norfolk to provide addiction recovery services Saturdays from 7pm to 8pm at the New Life Ghent Campus to anyone in need throughout the year.
Rapid Re-Housing
The Dream Center offers housing to Employment Training Program graduates. We offer short term housing at our Employment Training Center in Downtown Norfolk.
Tuesday Lunch And Dinner
A weekly time of fellowship and meals tied together with the Employment Training Program. Lunches are from 12-1 and Dinners are from 5-6
Friday Showers
Dream Center meets every Friday morning at 8:00 am at Freemason Street Baptist Church to offer showers to those in need. The Dream Center provides a towel, underclothes and toiletries. As showers are going breakfast is also provided.
Saturday Outreach
A weekly time of fellowship and meals on the streets of Norfolk. Volunteers meet at theGhent Campus at 4pm, prepare bag lunches and distribute the lunches to those in need from their cars.
It Ain’t Over
The Dream Center partners with the Norfolk Jail Ministry and offers a support group for women who have been incarcerated. They meet every Monday night at 6:30p at the New Life Ghent Campus.
